COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Introduction
to Computers (Monday 9 AM - noon)
This class
covers the basic steps of using a computer and includes:
- The
desktop and pointer shapes
- How to use
the mouse
- Identification
of the document window
- Selecting
text, deleting text, inserting text
- Files and
folders, naming and saving a file
- Copy and
paste, and cut and paste
Email and
the Internet (Wednesdays, 9:30 AM - noon)
This class
includes:
- What is
the internet and what can I do with it?
- Finding
inormation, shopping, getting maps and directions, travel sites, online
banking and stock information, news, radio stations, games, and
downloading pictures and utilities on the internet
- Sending
and receiving email
- Sending,
downloading, and printing pictures via email
We use Microsoft
Internet Explorer and Yahoo web-based email in this class.
